We creatively craft seasonal dishes using our own daily-harvested, fresh + sustainable (plus soon-to-be-certified organic) fruits + vegetables straight from our partner farm, Pickalittle Farms.

We also source + use local meat + eggs in our inventive dishes to keep our menu truly fresh + farm-driven.

Because we care about what’s on your plate at home, the same produce, meat + eggs will also be available in our market for your own healthy-eating + grocery needs along with curated goods + treats to enjoy.

What's in a name?

Well, growing up, co-owner Jessie Blackwell grew up down the street from a couple, Dorothy + Otto, or Dot + Ott, as they were affectionately known. When Jessie + her sisters were little, Otto handcrafted a wooden rocking horse for their family + to this day it sits in Jessie’s own baby’s nursery.

The name dot x ott carries a sense of warmth, family + heirloom tradition embodied by Dorothy and Otto, the inspiration for this new place for people to gather + dine-in or shop for great food in Downtown Bakersfield.
